Recommended Summer Route
Spend your hot summers outdoors around the region of Yagigahana.
1. Yagigahana Automobile Campground
Yagigahana Automobile Campground - An automobile campground located conveniently along the main national route that goes through the region of Shitada. Vending machines and toilets on-site. A convenience store and onsen (hot spring) facilities are just a short walk away. Each camping site also has an electrical outlet available. (Cottages are also available for people whom prefer not to stay in a tent)
2. Spend time playing by the Ikarashi River
Right by the camping ground flows the Ikarashi River in a slow, leisurely manner. Whether you spend time in the river or spend time on the grassy field, we will leave such decisions in your hands. May be if you're lucky, you might even witness peregrine falcons flyig off Yagigahana which looms over the area.
3. Hike the ever scenic Yagigahana
If you desire a longer trek, why not stretch your legs further out past Mt. Hakamakoshi and to Takajo.
4. Yagigahana Onsen "Iiyuratei"
Yagigahana Onsen "Iiyuratei" - Why not wash away your days play and sweat by relaxing and soothing your muscles at the nearby natural hot spring. Enjoy a meal and take advantage of one of the relaxing areas to reflect on your whole day.
Other options!
After a day of out in the sun, why not head indoors and also visit the Morohashi Tetsuji Museum or the Ootani Dam Resource Center.
For people whom are looking for a more outdoor experience, the Nakaura Himesayuri Forest Park, Kasaboriko Lake Campground or Kawasemi Canoe & Water Park has much to offer as well as camping facilities.
