The roadside station "Kangaku-no-Sato" or "Home of Sinology" is located on the side of National Route 289 near the picturesque Yagigahana. This is also the location of the memorial hall for Tetsuji Morohashi whom was the chief editor of the Dai Kan-Wa jiten (Comprehensive Chinese-Japanese Dictionary).
Also the birthhome of Dr. Morohashi is nearby along with a beautiful Japanese garden with a statue of characters from the great Chinese classical novel "Journey to the West". The Niwatsukima Gokuh sells various local products and also has a small restaurant which is run by the locals whom serve local dishes.

| Access: | Bus: | From Higashi-Sanjo station, take the "八木ヶ鼻温泉" (Yagigahana Onsen) bus to "諸橋轍次記念館前" (Morohashi Tetsuji Kinenkan Mae) (Front of Morohashi Tetsuji Memorial Museum). Approximately a 50min bus ride. A 20min walk from there. |
