Shitada Furusato Festival (4th Sat of Aug.)

 An excitement filled festival that hosts the National Stone Throwing Competition, the rainmaking giant snake festival, and other great events. For the finale, firework waterfalls and large fireworks color the night sky.

When: 4th Saturday of August
Where: Main stage: by the Shitada giant bridge, Ogibori, Shitada, Sanjo
Rainmaking giant snake procession: Starts at the Yagi shrine moves onto 3 other locations
