Shirasagi Japanese Iris Festival (Mid Jun.-)

 Matching the timing of blossoming of the Japanese Iris, this festival usually takes place from mid-June to the beginning of July at the Shirasagi Forest Park. 200,000 Japanese Iris’ cover the landscape, and the remains open until 21:30. The festival includes walks, and a light-up of the flowers at night.

When: Middle of June - beginning of July (See Japanese page for details)
Where: Shirasagi Forest Park, 727 Yada, Sakae, Sanjo
Access: Vehicle: 
  • 30min drive from the Sanjo-Tsubame Inter-Change, via the Hokuriku Expressway.
  • 20min drive from the Nakanoshima Inter-Change, via the Hokuriku Expressway.
Train:  30min walk from Obiori station on the JR Shinetsu-line.
