皆さんこんにちは！カナダで「プレーリーのパリ」と呼ばれたサスカチュワン州サスカトゥーンから来たピーター・カーターです。

カナダの大学では日本語と日本の文学を勉強した上に、日本の明治大学と韓国の延世大学校で1年間ずつ留学したことがあります。さらに高校時代も横浜で1年間留学したことがあって、その時から日本について深い興味を持つことになりました。横浜、東京、ソウルの大都市の複雑な生活から離れて、これからきれいな大空が見える三条市で国際交流員として働くことがとても幸せです。また、この地域の文化と歴史を勉強することにお楽しみにしています。よろしくお願いします！

Hello everyone! My name is Peter Carter and I come from the city which is known as the “Paris of the Prairies” in Canada: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I studied Japanese language and literature at my university in Canada and have also studied a year abroad at both Meiji University in Japan and Yonsei University in South Korea. Additionally, when I was in high school I had the chance to participate in a year exchange at a high school in Yokohama and have been deeply interested in Japan ever since. I am very happy to be taking a break from the crazy metropolitan lifestyle of Yokohama, Tokyo, and Seoul while working as the Coordinator for International Relations in the beautiful city of Sanjo. Furthermore, I am looking forward to learning more about this area’s culture and history. Pleased to meet you!
