 The Ootani Dam was completed after 14 years of construction, and the lakeside Ootani Dam Resource Center openned the same time as the Ootani dam. The Ootani Dam Resource Center houses Niigata prefecture's first stereoscopic imagery which presents the construction process and workings of the Ootani dam.

Entrance Fee:	200yen (voluntary general improvement fee)
Open Hours:	09:00 - 16:00
Day museum is closed:	Every Monday, If the Monday falls on a national holiday, then the museum will be closed the following day Closed during winter season (mid-December to mid-April)   * Please call ahead when nearing winter period to confirm to see if the Resource Center is open.
Access:	Vehicle:	Approximately a 60min drive from the Sanjo-Tsubame Inter-Change (Hokuriku Expressway) down the National Route 289.
