Asian Skunk Cabbage & Katakuri Lily

 While the Cherry blossoms disappear, other flowers begin to appear around the end of April. Out by the mountains, just when the snow is almost gone, from down below Asian skunk cabbages and Katakuri Lilies poke their heads from the ground and begin to add a bit of color to the fields.

Asian Skunk Cabbage

Where:  Kasabori region, Sanjo
Blossoming season:  Mid-April to the beginning of May

Katakura Lily

Where:  Nakaura Himesayuri Forest Park, Kita-Imo River, Sanjo
Blossoming season:  End of April to the beginning of May
