 By the foot of the scenic Yagigahana and the Imo river, a hot spring was discovered after boring the area in 1997.

 In the year 2000, in the area where a great view of Mt. Awagatake and Mt. Sumondake can be enjoyed and where the Komade river and Ikarashi river meet the Iiyuratei spa and health facility opened to the public. Nearby, the Sports Center "Hayabusa" also opened which makes this area a popular tourist destination.

 Also, next to the Iiyuratei onsen, a hot spring stand is also available for people whom wish to purchase natural hotspring water, so to experience a more onsen-like feeling at home.

Nature of spring: Sodium, Calcium-sulfate
Benefits against: Neuralgia, arthritic pain, atherosclerosis, incised wounds, burns, chronic skin disease, etc.

Yagigahana Onsen (hot spring) - Iiyuratei
 A day-use onsen (hot spring) surrounded by the great outdoors. Take in the views of Yagigahana, which had been chosen as one of the 100 must see things in Niigata. Come and enjoy the open-air bath, jacuzzi, saunas, and restaurant. Let yourself unwind and spend the day relaxing here at Iiyuratei.

Business hours: 10:00 - 22:00 (Last time of entry is at 21:45)
Closed days: Every 3rd Wednesday of each month

 Located in the same site as the Iiyuratei onsen, this facility is a self-serviced coin-operated hot spring stand. One can easily experience onsen water in the comfort of their own home. Why not give this a try some time?
