Ootani Dam & Kasaboriko Dam

Ootani Dam

 The rock-filled dam embarks the "Himesayuri Lake". This dam is enclosed by plenty of nature, the Ootani Dam Resource Center, a floating dock, the peregrine falcon squre and others.

Access: Vehicle:  Approximately a 60min drive from the Sanjo-Tsubame Inter-Change (Hokuriku Expressway) down the National Route 289.

Kasabori Dam

 Kasabori dam is a multi-purpose dam as it is used as a flood control, for generating electricity, and for the irrigation of water. A sanctuary for special natural treasures, the Japanese Serow surrounds the Kasabori dam, which is also a part of the beautiful Okuhayade Awasumon Prefectural Natural Park.

Kasabori Asian Skunk Cabbage

 Asian skunk cabbages are known to grow gregariously around Kasabori. As the snow begins to melt in spring, the Asian skunk cabbage whitens the area once again with their blossom.
