Higashi-Betsuin Temple

 The 16th chief priest of Higashi-Honganji Temple, Ichinyo built this temple in 1690 for the purpose of settling a dispute on the doctrine.

 Pilgrimages to this temple is quite popular amongst pious people. And just down from the front gates of the temple is Sanjo's main entertainment district (Honjikoji).

Parking: 60 vehicles
Access: Train:  5min walk from Kita-Sanjo station on the JR Shinetsu-line.
Vehicle:  10min drive from the Sanjo-Tsubame Inter-Change (Hokuriku Expressway)
