Every year, many hikers enjoy climbing this popular mountain, Mt. Awagatake. Every year, the climbing season opening ceremony takes place on May 5th.

| Access: | Vehicle: | 50min drive from the Sanjo-Tsubame Inter-Change, via the Hokuriku Expressway. |
| Bus: | From Higashi-Sanjo station, take the "八木ヶ鼻温泉" (Yagigahana Onsen) bus to the final stop, Yagigahana Onsen. A 10min walk from there. | |
